Youtube and the Future of Online Movies Renting

Youtube is becoming an online movies renting platform. As you can see in the snapshot below, Youtube is promoting on its homepage the option

to rent for 1.99$ Roman Polanski's movie Wanted and Desired. This service is not yet available in Belgium but it demonstrates Google's commitment to get closer to tv world. Numerous rumors indicate that Google is close to announce its partnership with Sony to build a webtv based on Android. It will offers Google an opportunity to push its Youtube content straight into traditional tv's.
