Axel joined as a digital business analyst in September 2026. He obtained a master’s degree in applied economics at the VUB where he joined a student association and gained hands on experience in social media marketing and branding. This prompted him to deepen his understanding of digital marketing, and Semetis offered the perfect environment to do so.
During his studies, he completed an internship in financial auditing and found it lacked the stimulus of the immediate impact and the creative thinking you would see in digital marketing. Accordingly, he steered towards an evolving digital marketing landscape to kickstart his career.
When he’s not at work, you can find Axel in the gym or on a field hockey pitch motivating himself or his team to push themselves. Outside of sports, he digs through music for his next DJ set or reading a mystery thriller.
