This event will offer an in-depth approach to Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Keyword buying, most commonly known as Search Engine Advertising (SEA). Speakers and organizers are Belgian experts in Search Engine Marketing (SEM). Furthermore, Marketers will have the opportunity to have their website reviewed with a live audit at the event of the website’s SEO strengths and weaknesses.
"We will focus on concrete cases and we will make recommendations that marketers can directly apply in their daily business," says Gérald Claessens, Knewledge founder and former CEO of Hi-Media Belgium and Publicityweb. It is therefore not a purely commercial presentation."
"Our three agencies would like to push the Belgian Search Engine Marketing industry forward," says Marnik D'Hoore, Director at bSeen. "Therefore we have openly collaborated to hold such an event. We have many surprises for participants including a presentation of recent trends in SEO, case studies and presentations from Google Analytics as a tool to optimise AdWords campaigns and a benchmark on the average cost per clicks in Belgium compared to neighbouring markets".
"The event will also have a round table with 2 Belgian pioneers of Search Engine Marketing, namely Gerald Claessens & Marnik D'Hoore," says Gabriel Goldberg, Director at Semetis and ex-Googler. "These two professionals have a long experience in the Belgian Search marketing industry. They intend to share their stories with you."
Three major themes will be on the agenda: search engines are not black boxes, keywords buying is not similar to media space buying and Search Engine Marketing is an ongoing process.
The event will be held in Brussels on Thursday 3 September 2009, and targets marketing managers and webmasters. The panel of speakers will consist of specialists and pioneers of SEM in Belgium: Marnik D'Hoore (bSeen), Gérald Claessens (Knewledge), Gabriel Goldberg (Semetis), David Gillain (Google) and Olivier Zimmer (Google).
